The Pefect Day Program
The Perfect Day program is designed to identify what is most important to our patients and assist in crafting a day that is tailored to their needs. This may include something as simple as a nourishing meal, quality time with family, or engaging in a meaningful activity.
Through the Perfect Day program, patients are given the opportunity to create lasting memories with their loved ones and find solace during a difficult period. It is a testament to the unwavering commitment and compassionate care provided by the hospice community, and its positive impact can be felt for years to come.
LaRue’s Perfect Day
Living with cancer can be a daunting challenge, but if you had the pleasure of meeting Larue, her diagnosis would not be the first thing you would notice. Rather, her infectious enthusiasm for life would be the first thing to catch your attention. Larue always had a smile on her face, and it was effortless for her to put a smile on yours, whether it was a quick joke, or her contagious giggle after indulging in her favorite treat, the Klondike bar.
During her first encounter with our social worker, Melissa, Larue shared her plans of attending an upcoming concert by her favorite country artist, Kenny Chesney, at Ford Field. Melissa knew that this was a dream that had to come true. She immediately sprang into action and contacted the representatives at Ford Field. Through Melissa’s dedication to Larue’s dream day, she was able to secure handicap accessible parking and seating, a meet and greet with her favorite artist, and some autographed memorabilia from the night out. More than any of this however, this evening out turned into a cherished memory for Larue, her husband Jim, and their family.
